OUR BILLING POLICY

Forest Lake Doctors  are committed to deliver the highest level of patient medical care. Due to higher costs of providing a quality medical service we have to apply mixed billing from 15th of September 2022.

 

BILLING POLICY – TELEHEALTH

From 5.10.23 all Telehealth consultations will incur a fee. This fee applies to everybody including Concession Card Holders, Children, Results and follow up by phone. The fee is $ 61.20( Gap $ 20).

This fee applies to Telehealth only and concession card holders, children, results etc, will still be bulk billed when you come to the surgery for an appointment.

 

FEES & BILLING -

This is a mixed billing practice. Fees are based on the time you spent with your doctor, and the complexity of the medical problem.

WILL MIX BILL FOR;

  • Below 16 Years old.
  • Chronic disease Illness/ Health Assessments/Mental Health Illness.
  • Newborn Babies (If parents are regular patients)
  • International students/ Overseas visitors with BUPA/ Allianz/ NIB / Medibank
  • Valid Concession Card holders (pension card, Health care card and DVA holders )


 

Certain procedures – Wound Dressing/ Excisions/Suturing/Foreign body removal/ Implanon/Punch biopsy etc may attract a fee. Please check with the reception before make the appointment.

Following services are privately charged with no Medicare rebate.
Commercial Driver’s License
Insurance Paperwork
superannuation, passport, health funds paperwork, Citizenship etc. Work Cover

At the time of your visit, you will be required to pay for your consultation. Payments can be made via cash, credit card or EFTPOS. We can refund eligible Medicare claims on the same day.

Cancellation Fee Non-attendance Fee – $40+GST will apply if you miss the appointment or fail to cancel the appointment 3 hours prior to the scheduled time.

Repeat Prescriptions– In exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the treating doctor, a collection of a script may be possible but will attract a fee of $25 /-.

Fees are displayed in the waiting area. We always try to keep our fees affordable.
Any concern related to the payment can be discussed with our receptionist at the booking prior to the consultation.

Following examples will help you to decide what sort of an appointment to be booked for your medical concern, If you are in doubt, always contact the receptionist at the time of booking to help you to choose appropriate (Brief/Standard or Long Appointment) accordingly to avoid disappointment and to run the doctors diary on time.

STANDARD CONSULTATION (10 MIN)
